Dr Malcolm Woodman, ex-BP production optimisation technical specialist, will present a half-day seminar on the theory and practice of modelling and optimisation of oil and gas assets. The seminar will provide attendees with an understanding of the additional value that can be realised by using the right tools and techniques to optimise oil and gas assets. It will provide an important platform to learn from one of the industry's optimisation experts.
The seminar makes use of real case challenges and identifies the technology that is required to accurately predict and optimise these complex and challenging systems. Dr Woodman uses his 25+ years' of process simulation and production optimisation experience at BP to provide an in-depth understanding on the important topics of production optimisation and integrated asset optimisation. Malcolm will be open to questions throughout the session and there will be an opportunity to have a one-on-one discussion on your operational challenges with Dr Woodman after the seminar.

|Dr. Malcolm Woodman started consulting for PSE in 2016, after more than 25 years with BP. For the last 10 years at BP, Malcolm was Project Manager, Program Manager and Technical Lead for the use of model-based optimisation in BP Upstream. His key responsibility was the development of systems to allow the use of commercial production modelling packages for production optimisation on the operating assets, not just by central modelling specialists. Malcolm is the author of many peer-reviewed journal papers and conference presentations, covering topics including three phase distillation, use of thermodynamics packages in industry, and production optimisation.|
