Senior Consultant Engineer

Process Systems Enterprise Inc. seeks Senior Consultant Engineer in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Duties: Lead consulting projects; Manage projects for PSE's clients and supervise others in designing, developing and applying mathematical models; Provide analytical expertise for PSE's clients; Lead the design and creation of polymerization process models using gPROMS, PSE's modelling and solution platform; Write proposals to a high standard (good effort estimates, proactively identify risks) to encourage new customers to use gPROMS; Support existing customers in their application of gPROMS; Deliver training courses, workshops and modelling solutions as required; Support prospective customers in evaluating the software through understanding their business needs and developing and executing a training strategy to meet them; Support the sales and marketing efforts of the business units; Lead client meetings, present at trade shows and conferences, proactively seek prospective users; Work with marketing to develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote PSEs consulting expertise, including brochures, webpages, webinars, and outreach events; Representing PSE at conferences, attending and delivering presentations and identifying leads; Supervise consultant engineers on development projects, taking responsibility for the quality of their work; Act as a technical adviser on polymerization consulting projects that require specific domain and/or product expertise, to enable executing and lead consultants to deliver work efficiently and to a high quality.

Requires a Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering plus 3 years of experience in related occupation. Requires 3 years of experience with first principles modelling, including a detailed understanding of chemical engineering science, population balance models, mathematical optimization, and model validation. Requires 3 years of experience with gPROMS, ACM, Dymola or another equation-oriented modelling tool. Requires 3 years of commercial experience. Requires 3 years of experience with mathematical modeling of polymer processes or other reacting systems involving population balances.
