We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design and execute infrastructure projects, spanning a broad variety of technologies. From OS integrations, Linux administration, Network management to Security, Software Development Infrastructure and Virtualisation. Reporting directly to the IT Manager you shall have operational responsibility for all IT functions across the group covering all locations both domestic and international. Day to day you’ll be maintaining, improving and administering PSE’s growing IT infrastructure. International travel maybe required from time to time.

Your impact:

  • Administer all IT operations across the groups multiple locations (i.e. network infrastructure, security, physical and virtual servers, backup systems, firewalls and switches, SAN, group policy management, office 365 and more) in line with the IT strategy
  • Supporting DevOps operations
  • Hardware and software procurement
  • Review, maintain and update IT procedures and systems
  • Contributor to the Global network design and implementation
  • IT Project work (implementation of infrastructure and supporting elements)
  • Provide occasional user support across all departments be it desktop support or infrastructure projects
  • Manage end user expectations and communicate well about any changes and/or processes
  • Core infrastructure management, monitoring, support and improvements

What skills you should have:

  • Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer with at least 6 years’ experience in designing, implementing and delivering IT projects
  • Working knowledge of Linux (CentOS), User Authentication and Web services
  • Knowledge of Nginx and Apache Web server configuration
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Powershell)
  • Good knowledge of Windows Domain Services including:
  • Active Directory
  • DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, MDT, WSUS, etc.
  • Windows server 2012/2016, Windows 7, 10
  • VMWare, Openstack, AWS (Configuration and Administration)
  • Switches, Blades, Servers, WiFi and tape-loaders (Cisco, Meraki, HP, Supermicro)
  • SAN (EMC and Tegile, iSCSI and NFS)
  • GIT/SVN (Configuration and administration of repository systems)
  • Firewall/VPN configuration (Cisco, pfSense etc.)
  • Understanding of all aspects of IT Security, data security, intrusion detection/prevention systems

What skills we are looking for:

  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365 and Azure platforms,
  • Experience with Ansible automation system,
  • Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Solarwinds Help Desk (formally Samanage)
  • Splicecom & NEC Phone systems
  • Databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL
  • Monitoring applications (Nagios, NeDi, Site24x7, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Veeam Backup software
  • Understanding of ITIL
