Determining the host id

To determine the host id follow these steps:

1. Download the appropriate version of the FLEXlm utility for your platform:

IBM-PC Compatible (Linux kernel 2.2.X and 2.4.X with glibc2)	lmutil_linux.gz
IBM-PC Compatible (Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP)	lmtools.zip

NB. Some web-browsers may change the file extension when they download, if this happens you may need to change it back before the file can be uncompressed.

2. Extract the FLEXlm utility lmutil (UNIX) or lmtools.exe (Windows) into a temporary directory:

Linux	gunzip lmutil_linux.gz
Windows	Use WinZip to extract lmtools.exe

3. Execute the FLEXlm utility on the machine you plan to use as licence server:

Linux	From the directory into which you extracted lmutil, run:
	lmutil lmhostid
	Send us the code after the text "The FLEXlm host ID of this machine is" preceded by "HOSTID="
Windows	From the directory into which you extracted lmtools.exe, run lmtools.exe. On the tab "System Settings" you will see a button labelled "Save HOSTID Info to a File". Once you save the file, send it to PSE.
