PSE Annual Meeting 2011
Hilton London Kensington
7-9 June 2011
Overview
The Hilton Kensington

Next-generation solids process modelling
Crystallisation process scale-up and optimal design
PSE advanced reactor design – from model to metal
The PSE Annual Meeting is a three-day event for business and technology managers and modelling personnel from across the process industries. Key themes are the application of high-fidelity predictive modelling to optimisation of process design and operations, support of innovation and management of risk.
Companies presenting at this year's event include Shell Global Solutions, SASOL, Süd-Chemie, GSK, Pfizer, AngloPlatinum, Novozymes, Siemens VAI, Voith Paper, DNV and Veolia.
The programme is a mix of presentations by industry organisations and PSE , with sessions covering Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Life Sciences, Carbon Capture & Storage and other process industry areas.
In addition, specialist seminars will cover the state-of-the-art in the design and operation of solids processes, crystallisation processes and reactors, with hands-on sessions for PSE's new gSOLIDS and gCRYSTAL products. There will also be advanced workshops for users of PSE's gPROMS ModelBuilder.
Who should attend?
The event is a must for anyone with an interest in the application of cutting-edge model-based engineering techniques to:
- enhance process design, including scale-up of complex processes
- optimise process operations
- accelerate process and product innovation
- manage new technology risk
- create efficiencies by integrating R&D and process engineering.
It is open to both existing AND prospective users of PSE's gPROMS-based software tools and ModelCare consulting services.
Programme
The programme includes the following:
Tuesday 7 June
Optional events, including:
- Free specialist seminars covering exciting new developments in model-based engineering and optimisation of crystallisation processes, solids processes and catalytic reactors.
- a range of gPROMS ModelBuilder workshops aimed at enhancing user productivity from modelling activities.
Note: participants should choose only one seminar or workshop from each of the morning and/or afternoon sessions above.
Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 June 2011
Two days of presentations from industry-leading companies, as well as PSE presentations covering the latest developments in the gPROMS modelling platform and software family.
Highlights include:
