18, 19 & 20 May 2008
Advanced process modelling (APM) is increasingly used by refining, chemical and petrochemical companies in order to provide a quantitative basis for important design and operational decisions.
Process Systems Enterprise's gPROMS modelling and optimisation software is the world's leading APM environment. gPROMS combines first-principles modelling, parameter estimation and flowsheeting to provide a tool that spans laboratory-to-operations modelling.
PSE has joined forces with Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) and Imperial College London Centre for Process Systems Engineering to present three days of events focusing on Advanced Process Modelling.
| 18 May | Modelling Technology Forum A one-day event describing Advanced Process Modelling, its applications and benefits, aimed at management and senior technical personnel within gas processing, chemical, petrochemical and refining companies, as well as senior academics. |
| 19-20 May | Hands-on Advanced Process Modelling workshop A two-day workshop covering in detail the key elements of Advanced Process Modelling, aimed at practioners and would be practitioners within the field. |

The organisers
Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ)
TAMUQ brings Texas A&M University's top-ranked engineering programs and research to the Gulf Region through its 2,400 acre Education City multi-university campus.
The university offers undergraduate degrees in chemical, electrical, mechanical, and petroleum engineering. This unique vision opens the availability of an American education in Qatar without students having to go abroad. The curriculum offered at Texas A&M University at Qatar is identical to that offered at the main campus in College Station, Texas.
Imperial College London – Centre for Process Systems Engineering
Rated as one of the world's top five universities in the THES 2007 World University Rankings, Imperial College London (ICL) has a reputation for excellence in science-based teaching and research.
The Centre for Process Systems Engineering (CPSE) is a multi-institutional research centre based at the ICL’s campus and including departments from University College London. It was inaugurated in 1989.
The Centre is an international research leader in Process Systems Engineering. Its primary focuses are the management of complexity in uncertain systems, across many time and scale lengths, and the development of tools and techniques to enable systematic development of products and processes across a wide range of systems.
Process Systems Enterprise Ltd
Process Systems Enterprise (PSE) was spun out of Imperial College London in 1997, to commercialise modelling and optimisation technology developed at the College’s Centre for Process Systems Engineering.
PSE is now the world’s leading provider of Advanced Process Modelling (APM) technology and services. Its products include the gPROMS® modelling environment and ModelCare® consulting, used by process organisations around the world for decision support in process and product innovation, design and operation.
