Process Systems Enterprise (PSE), in conjunction with UIT Inc., is pleased to announce a seminar on Advanced Process Modelling technology, to be held in Seoul on Tuesday 11 October 2005.

Advanced Process Modelling (APM) is the application of high-accuracy mathematical models of process equipment and phenomena to provide high-quality information for decision support of process innovation, design and operation. This results in faster innovation, improved designs of processes and products, enhancement of existing operations and more effective R&D experimental programmes. APM can be applied across the process lifecycle, from laboratory conceptual work, through process and detailed design, to online operational support.

The seminar will address recent and current developments in this key technology, and its application within the process and related industries. It is aimed at senior managers and R&D specialists in process manufacturing and related organisations, including research institutions, who are interested in learning more about the considerable benefits of APM and how it can help their business.

PSE is the world’s leading supplier of Advanced Process Modelling technology and services. The company’s gPROMS technology has brought significant advances in modelling in application areas such as reaction engineering, crystallisation, complex separation processes such as reactive distillation and absorption, and fuel cell component and system design, among others.

At this seminar you will hear about benefits APM technology is bringing to leaders in process manufacturing industries around the world, as well as how it can be applied within your company. The key speakers will be Professor Costas Pantelides, one of the world leaders in research, development and application of process modelling technology, andPSE Principal Consultant Zbigniew Urban, a pioneer in the application of mass transfer modelling and the combination of process modelling and Computational Fluid Dynamic technologies.

The cost of the seminar is US$100 for the day. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Provisional Agenda

The seminar will run from coffee and registration at 9:30 until 16:30, after which there will be a drinks reception until 18:30. Presentations will be delivered in English.
