Seminar: Accelerating fuel cell development
Yokohama Creative City Centre
10 September 2009
We are pleased to announce a unique event aimed at companies developing fuel cell components and systems.
We believe the AML:FC brings a step-change in technology for developers
The Accelerating Fuel Cell Development seminar will help you learn more about how the latest in advanced modelling technology can help reduce time to market and manage design risk through high-accuracy quantification.
Held at the Yokohama Creative City Centre on 10 September 2009, the seminar will help answer the following questions:
How can fuel cell developers ...

Answer: PSE's Advanced Model Library for Fuel Cells (AML:FC)
Presenter

Zbigniew Urban is PSE's Chief Technology Officer and Technology Leader for Fuel Cells and Reaction Technology. [more]
PSE's Advanced Model Library for Fuel Cells (AML:FC) represents a step-change in the technology available to fuel cell component and system developers by allowing important design and operating decisions to be based on accurate quantification.
Implemented in the gPROMS advanced modelling system and used by leading companies such as Toyota and Samsung, the AML:FC allows you to do all of the above and much more.
The AML:FC is fast and robust and can be used to investigate key interactions at cell, stack and system level.
Seminar contents
The seminar, presented by leading fuel cell technologist Zbigniew Urban, will present an overview of the AML:FC – both SOFC and PEMFC versions – and show how it can be used for:
- high-fidelity single cell modelling for model-based data analysis
- estimation of key model parameters from experimental data
- system analysis and design
- analysing and managing deactivation
- performing stack mechanical design based on accurate quantification of temperature, current density and other key performance indicators
- addressing key concerns for PEM fuel cell developers, such as the best strategy for water management.
Unique technology
We believe the AML:FC in combination with gPROMS's capabilities provides unique technology that is changing the way that fuel cells are developed and designed. By attending the meeting you will be able to form your own opinion.
The meeting is open to users and non-users of PSE's gPROMS advanced fuel cell modelling technologies and PSE's ModelCare consulting service, including academic researchers. There is no charge for attendance.
The meeting will be followed by a drinks reception and buffet, to which you are cordially invited.
We look forward to seeing you there!
