Industry links
PSE works closely with a number of companies and industry organisations who are recognised global leaders or bring
excellence within their niche. This helps us – together with our partners and associates – to bring you a comprehensive,
unified solution which fits your unique requirements.
Value-added resellers
PSE's value-aded resellers use gPROMS as the modelling and solution engine for their own software for a
variety of applications. PSE has "gPROMS-Based Application" ("gBA") agreements with these organisations,
which allow them to fully integrate and distribute the gPROMS software as an integral component of their own software.

Honeywell
PSE has a long-term development and licensing agreement with Honeywell, who use gPROMS as the
custom modelling and solution engine for the Honeywell Process Solutions UniSim operator training environment.
Honeywell is also building a range of model-based automation applications –
including real-time optimisation (RTO), equipment health
monitoring (EHM), process health monitoring, inferential sensing and other model-based
– around the gPROMS engine.

FLSmidth Automation
gPROMS is the modelling and solution engine for FLSmidth Automation's ECS/CEMulator, an advanced
environment for the training of process operators and engineers in the cement industry.
ECS/CEMulator implements FLSmidth's extensive process design and operation experience
within a fully-functional replica control system, to provide trainees with a
highly realistic operator training environment as well as a tool for increasing their
understanding of the complex cement plant process dynamics.
The CEMulator was the first gPROMS-Based Application (gBA).

Marketing partners and associates
PSE's works closely with a number of companies who provide modelling software and services
complementary to our own - for example, the CFD vendors with whom we work to develop and supply
PSE's unique software technology for combining CFD and process modelling.
 |
Fluent
Fluent is the world's leading provider of commercial computational
fluid dynamics (CFD) software and services.
The company offers general-purpose CFD software for a wide range
of industrial applications, along with highly-automated, application-focused
packages. Fluent has provided important support in the numerous PSE developments linking detailed
process (for example, reaction or crystallisation) modelling with CFD models.

CD adapco Group
The CD adapco Group is a global enterprise providing advanced computationally-based engineering solutions including the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) solvers STAR-CD. The Group's solutions are widely used in the automotive industry, as well as other industry sectors including chemical process, pharmaceuticals and specialized mechanical engineering applications.

MathWorks
PSE is a MathWorks CONNECTIONS partner, providing the gO:Simulink
object - and supporting tools - for embedding a gPROMS simulation as an S-function in
a Simulink® application, and the gO:MATLAB object for embedding a gPROMS model
as an M -Function within the MATLAB® toolbox. The gPROMS objects make it possible
for control engineers performing control design and verification studies to use the same
detailed non-linear models that are used in the process design, signifcantly enhancing
the accuracy and applicability of the control design.
|
PSE suppliers
PSE works with software supplier who are leaders in their fields to provide components that fall outside
our core business areas. We maintain close relationships with suppliers,
which includes - where appropriate - providing first-line support for the supplied components.
|
Infochem
Infochem is a leading independent supplier of thermodynamic software
and consulting services to the oil & gas, process and chemical
industries. Infochem's Multiflash is the standard physical property
package for gPROMS.
|
 |
OLI
Systems
OLI Systems is the world's leading provider of electrolyte physical
property prediction software. PSE's gPROMS-OLI interface is the first
to enable the use of OLI's property engine with equation-based dynamic
simulation and optimisation.

Industry organisations
PSE works with key industry organisations, as required in order
to further the interests of our customers.

CO-LaN
CO-LaN (the CAPE-OPEN Laboratories Network) is a neutral industry and academic association
promoting open standards in process simulation software. CO-LaN members are committed
to making Computer Aided Process Engineering (CAPE) easier, faster and less expensive by
achieving complete interoperability between CAPE-OPEN compliant commercial CAPE software tools.
CO-LaN supports and maintain CAPE-OPEN standards.
PSE is a member of CO-LaN and is committed to supporting its aims.
