Process Systems Enterprise Limited (PSE) is a provider of advanced modelling technology and model-based services to the process industries and their technology suppliers.

PSE's gPROMS Advanced Process Modelling software is used for modelling, simulation and optimisation of continuous and batch plants and operations in the process industries. gPROMS can be applied across the "process lifecycle", from laboratory research through process design to operations and purchasing.

PSE Consulting's Model-Based Innovation service combines high-accuracy modelling and modern R&D methodologies to accelerate innovation and manage risk. Our ModelCare call-off implementation service applies our modelling expertise to deliver rapid payback from modelling projects while transferring modelling know-how to customer personnel. Both these services are aimed at helping companies build internal modelling resources, in order to help them gain and extend corporate knowledge through the application of modelling.

The general-purpose and versatile nature of PSE's technology means that it finds application in virtually all the key process industry sectors: chemicals, fine chemicals, petrochemical, oil & gas, refining, polymers & plastics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, power (including fuel cell), mining, food & beverage, pulp & paper, as well as their technology suppliers such as automation and process design companies.

As well as general-purpose tools, PSE also provides a growing portfolio of cross-sector solutions – for example, the gPROMS Advanced Model Libraries – for technologically-advanced modelling applications within key sectors.

PSE operates from a head office in London and offices in our key markets of North America (US, Cedar Knolls, NJ), Japan (Yokohama), Korea (Daejeon) and Central Europe (Germany, Cologne), with agency representation in India. The worldwide complement of about 60 personnel includes development teams for all products; a consulting team providing application expertise, training and technical support; and account management, sales & marketing and administrative staff. A dedicated PSE Academic operation caters for the approximately 150 academic and research institutions around the world using gPROMS for research and teaching.
