About PSE
Process Systems Enterprise Limited (PSE) is a leading global supplier of advanced modelling technology and services to the process industries. PSE's technology-leading gPROMS® Advanced Process Modelling (APM) software and ModelCare® Model-Based Innovation (MBI) services are used to generate high-quality information for decision support in innovation, design and operations throughout the process industries, in sectors such as chemicals, energy, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage and minerals and mining.
PSE operates from offices in London, UK (headquarters), the USA, Germany and Japan, and has recently opened an office in Daejeon, Korea, in order to address the rapidly-growing market for its software and services.
We are seeking to recruit a high-calibre technical salesperson with strong experience in selling engineering software, preferably within the process industries, to sell our gPROMS process modelling software and ModelCare services to process industry customers.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Work as part of a sales team to deliver to target
- Identify new sales prospects and initiate new-name business
- Pursue a consultative sales process to identify solutions to customer needs and problems
- Manage existing customer accounts to ensure good customer relationships and identify expansion possibilities
- Work closely with pre-Sales and Consulting personnel within the PSE organisation as a whole to identify solutions to customer requirements, scope projects and produce proposals
- Work with PSE Marketing to initiate and execute marketing events for the Korean market
- Assist in the generation of Korean-language literature, including web material
Required skills and experience
- Proven technical sales ability with demonstrated experience of delivering to or beating targets
- Track record in winning new business and handling both short and long sales cycles
- Good understanding of structured sales processes
- Educated to degree level in a suitable discipline
- A minimum of 2 years' experience of technical sales to Korean industry in a relevant technology area.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good spoken and written English
- Willingness to travel within Korea as required and, from time to time, to other PSE locations around the world
The following are highly desirable
- Experience in or familiarity with the process industries
- Experience in selling process simulation or process modelling software and related solutions
