Process Systems Enterprise Limited is seeking one Senior Consultant to support and further develop its rapidly growing Solids business. This business encompasses two products, gSOLIDS®and gCRYSTAL®, and associated engineering consulting services. Our solutions enable our customers to innovate and engineer products and processes more rapidly and with well understood levels of risk through the use of physics-based models.
Description of position
As a Senior Consultant for business development of PSE's gSOLIDS business, you will be responsible for:
- Presenting the gSOLIDS offerings: presentations for customers and prospects, conference presentations, internal presentations to PSE sales, marketing and consulting teams.
- Generating leads through your existing network, at conferences and other marketing events.
- Identifying customer opportunities, scoping software evaluations and consulting projects, and producing proposals.
- Scoping and delivering gSOLIDS evaluations by prospects.
- Converting these evaluations into multi-year license agreements.
- Providing training and support to gSOLIDS customers.
- Design and development of training material and product documentation.
- Providing guidance to PSE consultants for delivery of gSOLIDS related consulting projects.
- Gathering requirements, user feedback and enhancement requests.
Required education and skills/experience
- A PhD or a MSc degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Pharmaceutical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years' (for candidates with a PhD degree) or 6 years' (for candidates with an MSc/MEng degree) industrial experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical or biotech industry.
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of solids processing steps, such as filtration, drying, milling, granulation, cyclones, centrifuges, spray drying, fluid bed drying, etc.
- Good understanding of measurement/analytical techniques for particle size, shape, porosity, lattice structure, etc.
- A proven affinity for process modelling including flowsheeting and model validation.
- A good understanding of what industrial challenges can be addressed through process modelling and the resulting value generated.
- A regular speaker at industry wide conferences.
- Development of models from first principles in gPROMS®, SPEEDUP®, ACM®, Dymola® or another equation-oriented modelling tool is an advantage.
- Excellent oral and written English language skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member; Ability to prioritise scheduled tasks and react to unexpected problems.
- Willing to travel within EMEA, the Americas and APAC for one week per month on average.
