PSE frequently supplies gPROMS for:
- collaborative research projects whose results are not in the public domain
- commercially-funded (for example, industrially-sponsored) projects undertaken by academic institutions for which some results are confidential
We also provide favourable licensing terms for research organisations (ROs), for example government-funded laboratories or industry research organisations.

PSE reserves the right to cancel licences without notice if they are being used for commercially-funded research without prior arrangement.
